Virus Word Animation

I went through a lot of thought trying to decide what word I wanted to do. Some other words I thought about using were ignite, download, and electric. As you can tell, I decided to choose the word "Virus".
Style Board
My main style I was aiming for was a vector graphical animation. Because I was talking about a computer virus, I really wanted my animation to feel like it belonged in a computer.
Mood Boards
For the mood and aesthetic of this animation, I wanted to go with the cliche green hacker text style. I took some inspiration from The Matrix, which can be seen because I use The Matrix Soundtrack.
Extras
"Walk Cycle" of the animated bug. I referenced real bugs when making this, and it took me a lot longer to make than I thought it would…

Takeaways
I really wanted to push myself for this project, and I feel it shows. I learned a lot about the process behind creating motion design pieces such as problem solving and how quickly details can get complex. I also feel that I made sure to remember principles of animation to help strengthen this. I enjoyed the entire process of creating this and I'm very happy with how it turned out.
